MATLAB-Simulink environment based power quality improvement in photovoltaic system using multilevel inverter

Introduction. In this world of technical advancement, conventional resources are at the stage destruction. To avoid such problems, we going to use an alternative energy source namely solar by photovoltaic effect. The demand for multilevel inverters increased as they used different dynamic (high) voltage and power appliances capable producing output wave shape with low total harmonic distortion. Novelty. A new inverter is in adding a (bidirectional) two way switch between capacitor traditional H-bridge module. This produces better sine wave. By series connection these modules, nine levels including zero possible. purpose proposed topology reduction number switches it gives good result comparatively less loss when compared other normal basic same quality. Methods. paper, sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique working inverter. results verified using simulation also experimental setup done. From observed that reduced lower electromagnetic interference, Practical value. distortion value 14.4 % practically 13.8 %.
